Setting your program commission
Set a flat $ or flat % commission per program. The athlete keeps it in full; the 20% platform fee is billed to you on top.
What you set
You set one commission per program: a flat $ amount or a flat % of the sale. That is the amount the athlete earns. There is no platform-wide rate; you decide each program's number.
- Flat $ amount. A fixed payout per attributed sale, like $10 per sale. Best when your prices are consistent.
- Flat %. A percentage of the order value, like 12% of the sale. Best when cart sizes vary.
You choose when you publish a program. Athletes see the exact number before they apply.
Deferred past v1
Tiered rates, per-SKU rates, and retainers are not available yet. Today each program uses one flat $ or flat % rate.
The athlete keeps the commission in full
The number you set is what the athlete earns, in full. We do not take a cut of it.
The 20% platform fee is separate. It is billed to you on top of the commission, never deducted from the athlete. The fee is charged only when an athlete drives a real attributed sale.
Here is the math for a $50 commission:
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Commission (athlete earns, in full) | $50 |
| 20% platform fee (billed to you, on top) | $10 |
| Your total cost for that sale | $60 |

How to set commission on a program
- Open the program you want to set up, or start a new one.
- Choose the type: flat $ amount or flat %.
- Enter the number. The setter shows the athlete's commission and your total cost (commission plus the 20% fee) side by side before you publish.
- Publish the program. Athletes can now see the rate and apply.
The number you enter is always the athlete's commission. The fee is added on top automatically; you never net it out of the athlete's amount.
Choosing a number
Commission is your decision, set per program. For a starting point in your category, see how to set wellness commission rates.
A useful check before you publish: add the 20% fee to your commission, then compare that total cost against your margin on a typical order. The setter does this math for you.
Per-athlete rates
The program rate is the default. When you approve an application you can give a specific athlete a different commission. The same rule holds: they keep it in full, the 20% fee is billed to you on top.
FAQ
Flat amount vs percentage: which should I pick?
Pick a flat $ amount when your prices are consistent and you want a number athletes can repeat ("$10 per sale"). Pick a flat % when your cart sizes vary a lot and you want the payout to scale with order value. Both are paid in full to the athlete; the 20% platform fee is billed to you on top either way.
Can I set different commissions per athlete?
Yes. The program commission is the default every athlete sees. When you approve an application, you can set a per-athlete commission instead. The same rules apply: the athlete keeps it in full, and the 20% platform fee is billed to you on top.
Can I change the commission later?
Yes, for sales going forward. A new rate applies to sales attributed after you change it. Commission already earned on past sales does not change. Tracking links and attribution stay the same when you update the rate.
