Creating and sharing your tracking link | Harmonia

How to use your Harmonia tracking link: one per-program link per brand that credits every sale you drive, with QR codes and anchor tags that keep attribution.

The short answer

You do not build your tracking link by hand. Once a brand approves you for a program, Harmonia creates one tracking link for that brand relationship in your athlete portal. You copy it and share it. That single link credits every sale you drive in the brand's store within the attribution window, no matter which product the shopper buys. You can also turn it into a QR code for in-person use, or add an anchor tag to point it at a specific page. The same attribution rides along in every case.

No discount code. The customer enters nothing, and you still get credit.

How to create your tracking link

The link is created for you, so there is no setup to get wrong. Here is the path from approval to sharing:

  • Get approved. A brand approves your application to its program. Approval is two-way: the brand approves you, and you accept the brand.
  • Open the program. Go to that program in your athlete portal. Your tracking link is already there.
  • Copy the link. Copy it once and use it everywhere you talk about that brand.
  • Share it. Drop it in a post, a bio, a story, an email, or a printed QR code.

For the exact buttons and where each item lives, see creating your tracking link in the athlete help center.

You earn the full commission

You earn the commission the brand sets for that program, in full. The 20% platform fee is billed to the brand, so it is never taken out of your payout.

One link per brand, not one per product

Your tracking link is per program, which means one link per brand relationship, not one link per product. You do not manage a separate link for every item the brand sells.

That one link credits every sale you drive in the brand's store within the attribution window:

  • Any product counts. If a shopper clicks your link and buys a different product than the one you mentioned, the sale is still credited to you.
  • A full cart counts. If they add several products, the whole attributed order is credited, not just one item.
  • A later visit can still count. If they click today and come back to buy within the brand's attribution window, the sale is still credited to you.

So you have one link to remember and one place to watch your earnings. To see how a credited sale becomes a payout, read understanding your affiliate earnings.

QR codes for in-person and print

A QR code is your tracking link in a form people can scan. Your athlete portal generates one you can download for a flyer, an event table, product packaging, or anything printed.

  • Same attribution as the link. A scan opens the brand's store with the same ?ref= value your link carries.
  • A scan that becomes a sale is credited to you. It works the same way as a click, so an in-person audience counts.
  • Good for places a link cannot go. Print, a slide at a talk, a sticker, a poster, the back of a card.

For sizing and download steps, see QR codes for your link.

Use a QR code where a link is awkward

A QR code is the right tool any time someone cannot tap a link: a printed flyer, a product insert, a slide on screen, or a booth at an event. The credit path is identical to a clicked link.

Anchor tags: point the link at a specific page

An anchor tag changes where your link lands without changing who gets credit. By default your tracking link opens the brand's store; add an anchor to send people straight to a specific product or landing page instead.

  • The landing page changes. The shopper arrives on the exact page you chose.
  • The attribution does not. The ?ref= value stays the same, so the sale is still credited to you.

Use an anchor when you are talking about one specific product and want to drop people right on its page. For the steps, see anchor tags.

Link, QR code, or anchor: which to use

All three carry the same ?ref= attribution. The only difference is where you are sharing and where you want people to land.

UseWhen to use itWhere the shopper lands
Plain tracking linkOnline: posts, bio, stories, emailThe brand's store
QR codeIn person or in print: flyers, packaging, eventsThe brand's store
Anchor tagYou are featuring one specific productThe exact page you choose

In every case the ?ref= value is written into the brand's Shopify cart note attribute and matched to you on Harmonia's server, so the customer never sees or enters anything.

No discount code needed

There is no code for the customer to type. Harmonia uses first-party, server-side attribution through the brand's Shopify store. When someone clicks your tracking link and buys, the order is credited automatically, with no discount code for the customer to enter, nothing for them to remember.

That matters for you in three ways:

  • Premium brands stay on the platform. Brands that never discount can still run a program, because there is no code eroding their price.
  • Nothing to leak or expire. You share a link, not a coupon, so there is no code to copy onto a deal site or forget to renew.
  • Credit holds up. Because the match happens on Harmonia's server from the brand's own order data, your credit holds even if the shopper clicks on a phone and buys on a laptop, as long as the purchase falls inside the attribution window.

FAQ

How do I create my tracking link?

Once a brand approves you for a program, your tracking link is created for you in your athlete portal. There is nothing to build by hand. Open the program, copy the link, and share it. It is a per-program link, so the same link works everywhere you talk about that brand.

Do I get one link or many?

One per brand relationship. The tracking link is per program, not per product, so you get a single link for each brand you are approved for. That one link credits every sale you drive in that brand's store within the attribution window, no matter which product the shopper buys.

Can I link to a specific product page?

Yes. Add an anchor tag to point your link at a specific product or landing page. The anchor changes where the shopper lands while the ?ref= attribution stays the same, so the sale is still credited to you. See anchor tags in the athlete help center for the steps.

How do I get a QR code for my link?

Your athlete portal generates a QR code for your tracking link, ready to download for print, packaging, or an event. When someone scans it, they land on the brand's store with the same ?ref= attribution as the link, so a scan that turns into a sale is credited to you the same way a click is.

Do I need a discount code with my link?

No. Harmonia uses first-party, server-side attribution through the brand's Shopify store. When someone clicks your tracking link and buys, the order is credited automatically. There is no discount code for the customer to enter and nothing for them to remember, so premium brands keep their pricing and you still get credit.
