Invite-Only Onboarding for the Launch Cohort | Harmonia
Onboarding is invite-only for the Harmonia launch cohort. Redeem your email-bound invite, valid for 30 days, then browse programs and apply right away.
Wondering how to get into Harmonia? During the launch cohort, onboarding is invite-only. There is no public signup form open yet. The Harmonia team hand-picks the first athletes and emails each one a single-use invite link, tied to your email address and good for 30 days. You redeem the invite, create your account, and from there you can browse programs and apply right away. Only getting paid is gated by identity verification, and that step comes later.
This guide walks through how an invite works, what you can do the moment you are in, and how a brand partnership starts. It is the "how to get in" companion to affiliate marketing 101.
The short version
- Onboarding is invite-only for the launch cohort. No public signup yet.
- Your invite is emailed to you. It is a single-use, 32-character link, tied to your email address, valid for 30 days.
- Redeeming it creates your account through Clerk, the service that manages sign-in.
- Browsing and applying are open right away. Look at programs and apply the moment your account exists.
- Only payout is gated by identity verification. That happens later, the first time a brand approves you, through Stripe Connect.
Why invite-only right now
The launch cohort is curated by hand so the first brands work with athletes who genuinely fit. The platform supports open signup later, but it is not turned on yet. Invite-only is the current state, not a permanent one.
How the invite works
An invite is a single link, sent to one email address, that lets you create your account. A few details matter:
- Single-use. The link works once. After you redeem it, it stops working.
- Email-bound. It is tied to the exact email it was sent to. Forwarding it to a different address will not work.
- 30-day window. It expires 30 days after it is sent. Redeem it before then.
- 32-character token. The link carries a long, random token, so it cannot be guessed.
When you click the link, you create your account through Clerk, which handles sign-in and verifies your email and phone at signup. That is the whole setup step. You are not asked for a Social Security number or bank details here. Those come later, and only Stripe ever sees them.
Redeem before it expires, and do not forward it
Each invite is good for one email and 30 days. If it expires, ask for a fresh one rather than reusing the old link. A forwarded or expired link will not let you create an account.
For the step-by-step setup, see getting started.
How to get an invite
Invites for the launch cohort come from the Harmonia team. They are hand-picked, not requested through a public form. The most direct route in is a brand you already back: brands recruit the athletes they want, and an invite follows.
If you do not have one yet, the best thing you can do is keep backing the brands you genuinely use. Fit over follower count is the rule for the launch cohort. A smaller athlete who actually uses a brand's products is a better match than a large account that does not. When invites widen, that fit is what gets noticed.
What you can do before you verify your identity
The gates are deliberately loose. Once your account exists, you can do almost everything except get paid:
- Browse programs. See the brands on Harmonia and the real terms for each: the commission, the attribution window, and the refund window.
- Apply to programs that fit. Send an application to any program you want to back. See applying to programs for what an application includes.
- Get approved. A brand can review and approve you before you have verified anything.
Identity verification through Stripe Connect happens later, the first time a brand approves you. It gates one thing only: payouts. You can look around and apply with nothing sensitive on file.
Here is what is open at each step:
| Step | Open before identity verification? | What it gates |
|---|---|---|
| Redeem invite, create account | Yes | Nothing |
| Browse programs | Yes | Nothing |
| Apply to a program | Yes | Nothing |
| Get approved by a brand | Yes | Nothing |
| Get paid | No | Payouts only |
Identity verification is handled by Stripe, not us
When it is time to get paid, Stripe Connect collects and holds your ID and bank details directly. Harmonia never sees or stores your Social Security number or bank account, and neither does the brand. That same Stripe verification is what issues your 1099-NEC automatically at year-end.
How a brand partnership starts: the two-way veto
Getting an invite gets you onto the platform. It does not auto-enroll you with any brand. A partnership takes two yeses, which is the two-way veto:
- You accept the brand. You apply to a program and accept its terms.
- The brand approves you. The brand reviews your application and decides.
Neither side is matched to the other by default. Because both sides choose, every partnership is one you and the brand both wanted. That is what makes you an athlete on Harmonia rather than one name in a mass marketplace.
When a brand approves you, three things happen at once: your tracking link for that program is created, the agreed commission terms are locked in a signed record, and both sides are emailed. From there you share your link and start earning. For how that link works, see creating and sharing your tracked link.
What earning looks like once you are in
The money model is the same for every athlete, and it is worth knowing before you apply. You earn the commission the brand sets, in full. The 20% platform fee is billed to the brand, so it is never taken out of your payout.
If a brand sets a $40 commission per sale:
$40you keep, in full $820% platform fee, billed to the brand $48the brand's total cost per salePayouts run automatically through Stripe Connect. Once your brand's monthly invoice clears, we pay out daily, with a $25 minimum. Balances under $25 roll forward and keep adding up. On December 15 we pay out any remaining balance regardless of the minimum.

FAQ
How do I become a Harmonia athlete?
During the launch cohort, onboarding is invite-only. The Harmonia team hand-picks the first athletes and emails each one a single-use invite link that is tied to your email and expires in 30 days. There is no public signup form open yet. Once you redeem your invite, you create your account and can browse programs and apply right away. Only getting paid is gated by identity verification, and that step comes later.
How do I get an invite?
Invites for the launch cohort go out from the Harmonia team. They are hand-picked, not requested through a public form. If a brand you back already works with Harmonia, that is the most direct route in: brands recruit athletes they want. When an invite is issued, it arrives by email, tied to that email address, and is good for 30 days.
Can I sign up without an invite yet?
Not during the launch cohort. The public signup form is not open yet, so the only way in for now is a single-use invite emailed to you. The platform supports open signup later, but it is not turned on during the launch cohort. If you do not have an invite yet, the best thing you can do is back the brands you genuinely use, so you are an obvious fit when invites widen.
What can I do before I verify my identity?
Almost everything except get paid. Once you redeem your invite and create your account, you can browse programs, apply to the ones that fit, and get approved. Identity verification through Stripe Connect happens later, the first time a brand approves you, and it only gates payouts. You will not be asked for any sensitive details to look around or apply.
How long is an invite valid?
An invite is valid for 30 days from the day it is sent. It is single-use and tied to one email address, so it works once, for you. If it expires before you redeem it, ask for a fresh one. Forwarding the link to a different email will not work, because it is bound to the address it was sent to.
